I’m not really a big fan of teen slasher films, because they usually focus too much on deflowering girls, and less on the running around in the forest, hiding from the killers. Even Jennifer’s Body falls prey to this a bit, dwelling too much on the sex or lack of sex of the two main characters. When Jennifer (Megan Fox) follows her favorite indie band into the woods to have fun, they try to sacrifice her to a demon, but things go a bit wrong when it turns out that she’s not the virgin they expected her to be, and so the demon fuses with her soul, and turns Jennifer into a monster.

At first content to just attack and feed from the local jocks and testosterone-fueled males who got her into trouble, Jennifer eventually comes onto her best friend Needy, and they have sex with each other. More of this movie is about the dangers of having sex with teenage girls than about the thriller aspect, so if you want to see a scary, sexy movie, this is for you. The potential twist is a bit expected, in that the townsfolk believe Needy to be the demon after she defeats Jennifer, but for the most part the film focuses on the idea of a girl turning into a human praying mantis, and killing her mates after having sex with them.

On the plus side, though the pre-attack sex is filmed fairly well, and is pretty hot. Megan Fox takes her top off and Amanda Seyfried is the “ugly” friend somehow. So while the end result may be to scare people away from teenage girls, if you skip the parts where Jennifer rips into her victims, this could be a decent softcore porn film.
